Lunk - "Heres a toast to Anet finally kicking the puppy to death while its already been thrown 20 feet in the air by their car."

*dies laughing* That phrase about covers the scope of the new change in armor. The SR nerf did it for me, and the armor nerf bascailly made my wife stop playing. What is going on over at ANET? They just need to stop changing the game and work on new content....

I would rather ask for something to get rid of shouts.

If Enchantments stack and give them high armor - boo if you have no means to kill enchantments

If they use Dolyak Signet + whatever - they already paid the price, very limited mobility

If they use Watch Yourself and Stand Your Ground - they can laugh, as shouts cannot be removed.

The mechanic of shouts is the root of all evil. I still think it would be better to re-work "Stand Your Ground" than to remove the whole armor stacking game mechanic.

I agree, I humbly ask ANet to remove this nerf and let armor stack again.

The complexity and interaction of stacking armors made for a number of interesting & various roles, it made the game fun.

Sofia Leafblade (or whtever ure name was, as lagg had posted a link i took the time to read through most of it) i can only be amazed about ure argumentation skills, when your points fail with evidence put on the table you simply ignore the reason you put it there to validate a former argument (which thus falls) and keep on gaoing at it, learn to play PvP instead of thrasing down on what imo see as what you see is overpowered.
Dont bother with a response btw the only time i will bother to spend on commenting your text is what ive already written.

Oh and btw;

And a last one for the road, i dont know what Anet is thinking, why are you messing around with fundamentals of GuildWars when you have announced GuildWars 2 ? (dont get me wrong new areas, tweaks etc are appriciated) - you do know that ALOT of ppl loved what GW used to be, why not go back to your roots?

IMO. Well designed games do not need hard caps. This is just plain stupid.
Even though I used to play mainly PvP, I also played PvE. Anet actually managed to make paragons even more worthless! Quite a feat huh?!

Armor cap ftl...I can live with it as long as "Save Yourselves!" isn't nerfed in any way.

So umm this happened cause of paragons combining Watch Yourself and Stand Your Ground right? How bout move Watch Yourself to Strength and remove the armor cap.

ANet should have worked on the skills themselves, not the mechanic.

But then ANet would need to work. :<

Default life in hard mode with +25 armour cap

i took a break from guild wars after i got koabd for my warrior, then recently came back to tackle hard mode.

imagine my surprise when i can't tank properly anymore. the armour nerf is extremely badly thought out, if shouts are a problem nerf shouts - it's easy to remove enchants, hexes, conditions with the right skills because there are plenty of skills to remove them all with. why are shouts so hard to remove?

i just want to mention that i hated the armour cap as soon as i saw it was implemented, but i grew to despise, disdain, scorn it after trying to work with it for a week in hard mode.

i guess i'll just annoy everyone by changing to a damage build like all the other dumb wammos i used to reject from my hard mode/elite area teams.

as i mentioned, it took a week of playing for me to full to the brim with fear and loathing, so don't reject this rant as a simple reactionary rant. it's a well considered reactionary rant.

if you'll excuse me i'm going outside now to put out cigarettes on my forearm.
